Mac Countdown

During my time in Torino I had some spare time to improve my development skills. Besides developing my first Mac OS X applications, I also started to learn Apple’s new programming language “Swift”.

I created a couple of standard applications and then went further to develop my first application that is solely working in the “StatusBar” next to the Wifi, Volume and Battery symbols.

The counter is a tool that lets you put in either only one date and shows a precise countdown or a date for the countdown and the starting date of (for example) a time period.

In my case, I stayed in Torino for two months and knew exactly when I got there. Since I also knew the time of departure, the app shows me how much of the time in percent has already passed.
